One of the most important things we can do when we are building our miniature setting is to stop and critique what we have done every once in a while. Are we headed in the right direction? Is our backdrop too prominent? Do we need to add some aging techniques? How does it look when we put up our viewing “window”? I have changed direction many times since I started, based on my answer to those questions. I have to remember not to get so involved in the details that I forget about the big picture.
