Since my exhibit this year features numerous small planting areas with odd shapes, I have to build my own planters. Using information from a demonstration that the Chair of Miniature Settings, Ron Hoess, showed us last year, I have been cutting styrene sheets and gluing them into boxes. It takes some time but I can’t see a better way to do this. The styrene I am using is 1.5mm but I would suggest something thicker for a stronger box. I am reinforcing the corners. Plastruct.com has styrene sheets and glues or you can check to see if MicroMark has them.
